Reverse auction

Post by niknak1 » Fri Sep 28, 2012 7:12 pm

Hi all.
We are looking at using ennuk to provide us with reverse auction application and wondered if anyone had first hand experience with a) using ennuks reverse software and b) running a reverse auction.

No experience I am afraid.

I suppose one thing to consider is what you understand as a reverse auction.

The enuuk implementation does not expect postage etc, and seems to be more along the lines of:

a) User A places a listing inviting people to bid to provide a service or an item
b) User B and C then try to place the lowest bid for providing this - obviously subject to the lowest price they can afford to sell it for.
c) The auction ends, the lowest bidder (say User B) wins
d) User B provides the service or item
e) User A pays User B for the service or item

This is in comparison to some other reverse auction types which I have seen, where the winner is the person who places the lowest unique bid.
