Correct Datepicker issues on IE

Post by RWAP » Sun Jan 10, 2010 1:21 pm

On some versions of Internet Explorer, v6 and v8 (although not v7 for some reason), when you click on the date field, you are given the datepicker to select a date, with a box underneath with FALSE in it. Click it again and the box with FALSE grows down the screen.

To remedy this, you need to amend the themes\..\css\style.css
Find:

Code: Select all

* html .ui-datepicker-cover { /* pisar selects para IE6 */
    display:block;
    position:absolute;
    z-index:-1;
    filter:mask();
    top:-4px;
    left:-4px;
    width:190px;
    height:200px;
}
Change this to:

Code: Select all

 * html .ui-datepicker-cover,
 iframe.ui-datepicker-cover { /* pisar selects para IE6 */
     display: none; /*sorry for IE5*/
     display/**/: block; /*sorry for IE5*/
     position: absolute; /*must have*/
     z-index: -1; /*must have*/
     filter: mask(); /*must have*/
     top: -4px; /*must have*/
     left: -4px; /*must have*/
     width: 190px; /*must have to match width and borders*/
     height: 200px; /*must have to match maximum height*/
}
Now all we need is to sort out the colour of the previous and next attributes as you cannot read them in enuukGreen!!

To change the colour of the prev and next buttons when the datepicker is shown, go to themes\..\css\color.css

Find:
.ui-datepicker-header a{
color:#FFF;
}

Change this to:
.ui-datepicker-header a{
color:#BB0000;
}
(for example - gives you maroon PREV and NEXT)
